Help to find Steve Fossett

You would have read in the news that adventurer Steve Fossett went missing a few days ago with his plane. Google (Earth) and Amazon (Mechanical Turk) are now enabling everyone to be part of the search & rescue team by scanning brand new satellite imagery. Details on how to get started at mturk and cover story at Yahoo! - where I also found a very contextual banner ad placement:

The latest version of the Google Earth app has a Flight Simulator built-in. All you have to do is hit Ctrl+Alt+A (Mac: Command+Option+A), select the plane and airport and off you go. You can either use a joystick or the keyboard - command and key combo overview below:

Art of Office

Art of Office is a Microsoft initiative to get Mac users to submit artistic content made using Office applications. Looking at the comments in the Mac Mojo blog the Mac community would rather have the 2007 release than an artsy UGC campaign:

Jesus, have you guys got a product to ship deadline or not?
