Just watched a news report about the scientists in Geneva at CERN getting closer with recreating the big bang with their Large Hadron Collider. Some peoples are worried it’s gonna create a black hole and suck us all in. Anyway, let’s look at some very cool images of the impressive machine (whole gallery here):

Clever stuff by Porsche. Select your favourite model, upload a picture of your driveway and then picture it. Or just go and get one. I think the 911 would look just fine next to my trailer.

The Olympics in Beijing are coming to an end and the Swiss have scored 5 medals so far. My current home Australia is looking a lot better with some 42 medals and 6th overall position. Time to look at the quirky moments. I stumbled across a large collection of great photos. Here’s a few of them:
Microsoft’s long awaited Photosynth finally became public today. Now you can create 3D environments based on your pictures. Unfortunately the thing doesn’t work on my Mac here so I’ll properly check it out at work tomorrow:
Unfortunately, we’re not cool enough to run on your OS yet. We really wish we had a version of Photosynth that worked cross platform, but for now it only runs on Windows.
