We just launched the DevSta Challenge 2008, a competition to engage the community as part of the overall marketing activities for Microsoft’s Visual Studio 2008. So if you’re a developer and live in Oz, sign-up now and make sure you’re ready once the brief gets released. If you’re good then you might be going to Vegas.

Associate Professor and Head of School, Communication and Media at Bond University in Queensland, Dr. Jeffrey E. Brand’s presentation about the role of new media and gaming in today’s communication landscape, held at our McCann Take-Away event last Friday. What a sentence. I’m a big fan of interactive TV, especially if it’s well thought through and engages. Samsung was a great recent YouTube-based example. But now take your time to enjoy BBC Three’s Spooks Code 9. You get to upload your passport picture and will then be part of the story. Found it on Laurel’s blog to which I recommend you subscribe to.
