Frilled shark

Staff of a Japanese marine park caught a 1.6-metre-long frilled shark in poor condition and moved it to a seawater pool where it unfortunately died shortly after. Frilled sharks live between 600 and 1000 metres under the surface and sometimes are referred to as a ‘living fossil’ because the species has changed little since prehistoric times.
