The construction of the pyramid shaped Ryugyong hotel began in 1987 and was halted in 1992 due to financial problems. The building has reached it’s full structural height of 330m but is currently no more than a massive concrete shell. If ever completed it’d be the world’s tallest hotel (yes, the Burj al-Arab is only 321m) and 7th largest building. Find out more on Wikipedia.
